The following classmates were present. Gray Ringo Boot, Pam McNeill Bates, Dorothy Roberts Johnson, Dale Chemerys McGlothin, Becky Corbitt Hudson, my wife and myself. We are still working on the menus. I have signed the contract for the Double Tree hotel and have made a deposit. At this time we have reserved 30 rooms for two night for anyone who wants to stay at the hotel. Below is part of the contract.CHECK IN / CHECK OUT TIMES Check in time is after 4:00 pm, subject to availability, and check out time is at 11:00 am. All requests for an early check in or late departure will be handled on an individual basis. RESERVATIONS CUT OFF DATE The rooms will be held until your cut off date on 05/27/2005. After that date, any unused portion of your room block will be released and put back into inventory for sale to the general public and the rate quoted will no longer be available. Reservations will then be accepted on a space available basis at Rack Rates. Blocking of specific room types is only a request; we do not guarantee room types. RESERVATIONS METHOD The Group will reserve by Individual Call In by 05/27/2005. Reservations may be made on line, or by calling Toll Free 800-552-3224, and ask for the Cocoa High School Class of 65 Group Rate. BILLING INSTRUCTIONS All individuals are to present a form of payment upon check in for their own room, tax and incidental charges. METHOD OF GUARANTEE All guests are required to call with individual credit card numbers in order to guarantee their accommodations. A guaranteed reservation will be held until the night of the arrival date. If a guest does not arrive, he or she will be billed one night’s room and tax provided that the reservation was not cancelled 72 hours prior to the arrival date. A cancellation number will be given at the time of cancellation and this number will be required to dispute any credit card charges for “No Shows”. EARLY DEPARTURE In the event that a guest who has requested a room in your group block checks out prior to the reserved check out date, the Hotel will add an Early Check Out Fee of $50.00 to that guest’s individual account. Guests wishing to avoid this fee should advise the Hotel at or before check in of any changes in planned length of stay. The Hotel will inform members of your group of this potential charge at check in. CANCELLATION POLICY This agreement will bind both the group and the Doubletree Hotel Cocoa Beach Oceanfront and may be cancelled by either party only upon the giving of written notice. It is further provided that there shall be no right of termination for the sole purpose of holding the same event in some other city or facility. The on line address is: www.cocoabeachdoubletree.com. The committee asked for any one who has pictures from graduation year to send them to us, if they would like them added to the slide show using power point to project the pictures on a wall with an LCD projector, during the reunion. We are going to send a mail out soon to the classmates that we do not have email addresses for. If anyone knows of classmate email addresses that we don't have, please send them to Bob DeWitt at rcdewitt@peoplepc.com . I have 455 addresses for Cocoa High and 167 for Cocoa Beach High. Out of the total addresses, I have 75 email addresses for Cocoa Beach High and 153 email addresses for Cocoa High. So any help would be appreciated. We are working on picking a band.
